High Desert Racers

 Cheri Dekker with her White Ford Mustang convertible is our Queen of the Street this year.  The 2nd annual King of the Street & Mud racers had a big turn out. Congratulations Cheri it’s nice to see you having fun at the track.

  John Belveal is  winning the  Street Class a lot, here lately. If not driving  his ’88 Camaro he’s behind the wheel of his black Dodge pickup. A big hand for John on second place at the King of the Street Drag Races.

Dan Gaylor from Battle Mountain, Nevada had to come and see what was going on at HD Speedway. His 1973 Dodge Charger with its 470 stroked out motor was hard to beat. Dan said the 1/8 mile track was alot of fun and hoped to come back soon. He likes to try out different tracks and enjoys seeing all the cars. 
We hope to see Dan back with his Charger running down the track one more time.

I’d like to thank an awesome band  that played their hearts out after all the racing was done. Yes, the band is called Rough Draft and the songs were Great.  They were the winners after all that went on that day. ( Just click on the picture to get a better look.)

Thanks to everyone for attending & supporting the Street Drags & Mud Racing at High Desert Speedway. It was fun going  back and forth watching the street drags & mud racing. A Special Thanks to all the members that helped to make this event happen.

 August 6 is our Street Car Drag and Mud Racing at H D Speedway West of Gooding. 

Entry fee     $25.00 for  Drag  Races     $25.00 for Mud Bog  (plus free T-shirt)

Gates will open at 9am time trials at 11am  for the Street Car Drag. 

“ Beat the Heat“  is the Police fundraiser.  You can race against any Police Officer.

Mud Bog Races will begin at noon till finished.

Anything that Has Wheels and can get down & dirty is welcome to test their skills on the bog track.

Spectator Tickets at the Gate $8.00

Bert & Laurie Webster from Paul, ID came last year to be in the HD Racing Club Street Shoot Out.  This weekend they showed up with a Cherry Red 1994 Trans Am sporting a LTI motor.  They plan to attend this year’s race too.
